Lata Mangeshkar to sing for Bhansali's next

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always been vocal about his admiration for the Nightingale of India aka Lata Mangeshkar, and had earlier quoted that "Lataji defines beauty for me."

He has always been in awe of her and has been wanting to work with her since a long time but he never found a song worthy enough of her voice.
And now his dream will soon come true as Lata Mangeshkar has agreed to record a special song for Bhansali's next directorial venture. The song has been composed by SLB himself. Reportedly, the song is on the lines of 'Dil Dhundta Hai Phir Wohi Fursat Ke Raat Din' and will be very similar to compositions of Salil Chaudhary, SD Burman and Madan Mohan

Even stars are into multi-starrers: Shazahn Padamsee

Her next film Housefull 2 has a dozen actors, but Shazahn Padamsee isn't fretting. After all, stars are also a part of multi-starrers, isn't it, says the actress. "I have such a long way to go. I am so young and have to be a part of the industry for so many years. I'll do multi-starrers,
I'll do films with many people...Now you see even the stars doing multi-starrers. The world is my oyster; I don't look for anything solo or multi-starrer," Shazahn told IANS.

Daughter of ad guru Alyque Padamsee, Shazahn made her Bollywood debut with Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year and later went on to be a part of Madhur Bhandarkar's Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji, which had an ensemble cast. She is now gearing up for the release of Housefull 2 April 5.

Malaika in ‘Anarkali disco chali’ from ‘Housefull 2′!!

Our very sexy Munni is back with her lachak-machak in yet another saucy track ‘Anarkali Disco Chali’. The item number is from the movie Housefull 2.

Munni Badnaam Hui, broke all records with the combine efforts of Malaika Arora and choreographer Farah Khan. The hit jodi is back once again with Anarkali Disco Chali. Now, the question is, which one will be bigger and better, Munni or Anarkali!

Malaika says, both the songs are totally different. While ‘Munni’ was all desi, ‘Anarkali’ is more modern and sexy.

Saif was provoked- Kareena Kapoor

I haven't spoken about what happened that night, but now I feel I should because whatever is being said is completely one-sided. This man (Iqbal Sharma) is publicity-hungry. How can a man with a broken nose and jaw speak continuously on TV for more than 10 hours?

Saif was provoked. He's a thorough gentleman and would never get into a brawl, especially with women around.

We were having dinner at Wasabi (a restaurant in Mumbai) when Iqbal stormed into our corner and started screaming at us. The only people present at that time were Sharma's group and ours. We were laughing and talking, but certainly not screaming! There was no reason for this man to come to our table and shout at Saif. Even so, Saif said sorry but he continued to rant

Kangana Ranaut could replace Bebo in OUATIM 2

According to the buzz, Ranaut’s character in the film, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2’ is inspired by the life of yesteryear heroine Mandakini, who got involved with the underworld don after her career in Bollywood came to a standstill.

Salman Khan supports Saif, says media was biased

Salman Khan

Salman Khan, who is back here after the shooting of " Ek Tha Tiger" in Cuba, came out in support of his fellow actor Saif Ali Khan, saying that media should have waited for his version and dug out the facts before running what was carried on television.

"Even the press was all for the other guy. They didn't even bother to ask what happened to Saif. Did Saif got wacked first or not? We should have waited for Saif to come out and say what he had to say," Salman told reporters after he was aksed to comment on the incident.

"We are actors and we have been in the industry for the longest time. Saif has been in the industry for 18 years. We knew the guy," added the actor.

Saif was involved in a scuffle early at Wasabi, the Japanese restaurant at Taj Mahal Palace with South Africa-based Indian businessman Iqbal Sharma. The latter alleged that Saif abused and assaulted him and his father-in-law and filed a complained at the Colaba police station, the actor said he was provoked to do so.

Following Sharma's complain the 41-year-old actor was arrested with two others -- Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi.
Police detained the trio at the Marine Drive police station and later brought them to the Colaba police station. The interrogation of the trio lasted an hour. Later, the actor and his two friends were freed on personal bonds of Rs.3,000 each.
According to Sharma, Saif called him an "idiot" for complaining about the actor's loud conduct at the restaurant. He said he and his family had requested the restaurant manager to ask Saif and his friends, which included Kareena, Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora Khan, to keep their voices down.

Reportedly, Zarine Khan has given up an item song called "Main Chamiya No 1" because it also features Vivek Oberoi.
Clearly, she didn't want to upset her mentor Salman Khan.
Says a source, "Zarine has been sending out feelers that she wants to do item songs, as she needs the money to buy a house. When good friend Maanayata Dutt heard that Zarine was on the lookout, she spoke to hubby Sanjay Dutt and got her one in his next film 'Zilla Ghaziabad'. Maanayata spoke to Sanju's business manager Dharam Oberoi and got her a decent fee (30 lakh) for it. Zarine loved the song and agreed to do it."

However, when she found out that Vivek Oberoi would also feature in the song, she backed out.

Reveals an insider, "When Zarine heard about Vivek, she got scared. She owes her career to Salman. He turned her from a background dancer into a leading lady. She felt he wouldn't approve of her associating with Vivek in any capacity."

Agent Vinod
Agent Vinod
Saif Ali Khan’s second home production is gearing up for a March 23 release. And as part of the promotional hype that plays an integral part in the marketing of any film these days, the actor-producer is readying a comic book, has tied up with McDonald’s for a line of merchandise and is designing a PlayStation3 game, all of which revolve around Agent Vinod.
The PS3 game is a first person shooter and will take the gamer, a prototype of the secret agent Saif plays on screen, through different levels of difficulty.
“At each level, he or she will be provided with clues to nail the bad guy, who could range from a ‘chaalu’ (street smart) knife-wielding dada (don) from Mumbai’s dark underbelly to an international mafia kingpin,” explains Saif, adding, “If the baddie is killed in the shootout, the gamer earns points and moves on to the next level.”

Priyanka
Priyanka Chopra is surely riding high on a success wave these days. After back-to-back hits like 'Don 2' and 'Agneepath', Priyanka has another achievement to her credit now.
She has become the first Bollywood actor to be signed up with CAA ( Creative Artists Agency), a prominent entertainment and sports agency of Los Angeles.
The agency handles stars like George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Will Smith, and Reese Witherspoon.
CAA is also considered to be extremely choosy in picking their talents. "In the past, several Bollywood stars have approached them, but they turned them down politely. Now, Priyanka is becoming popular in LA because of her big-ticket album deal she has signed with Universal," says a member of her entourage.
When contacted, Priyanka who was busy shooting for 'Krrish 3' in Hyderabad confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I have a completely new team working for me in Los Angeles. Let's see how things go."
Her debut album with the international label is due to release later this year.

Valentine's Night - Movie Review

Valentine's Night
Valentine's Night
Valentine's Night
Valentine's Night
Valentine's Night
Rakhi Sawant

 Director: Kirshan-Baadal
Cast: Payal Rohatgi, Sangram Singh, Rahul Minz

Valentine's Night is what you call a perfect anti-date film. It is the ideal film you show to your love if you are desperately seeking a break-off. Pretending hard to be young and hep at heart, this heartless film has a bunch of wannabe actors who are more appalling than moral policing on Valentines Day.

A voiceover that sounds like a planetarium commentator introduces the lead characters on Facebook facade. The film is about five random individuals who are known to each other only through their social networking accounts. They decide to meet on a Valentine's Night. Coincidentally all of them have broken-up with their respective partners some hours ago.
On their very first encounter, they get pally enough to book a stretch BMW and roam aimlessly on Delhi streets. With no substance in the plot, the film resorts to substance abuse and bears a heavy Shaitan hangover. Further their garish gaadi is hijacked and a murder happens for which the five are implicated.

The film never works as a murder mystery for the killing happens only in the last few minutes and the suspense is too short-lived. Neither does it work as a moral drama because it's a poorly written, defectively directed and atrociously enacted product. There's a parallel track where a guy is held hostage by an underworld gang and by the end the mobster has a change of heart and decides to build a hospital instead. The viewer remains indifferent to his life-changing decision though.

Deepika is unethical, unprofessional: Ramesh Taurani

Deepika Padukone's decision to walk out of Race 2, after shooting for it for six days, has not gone down too well with producer Ramesh Taurani.
Annoyed with the actress for leaving him in the lurch, Taurani lashed out at the actress, labelling her behaviour as "unethical, unprofessional and unacceptable".
"I have been a part of the Hindi cinema industry for 25 years. I have made several blockbusters. I have worked with famous actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor. But I have never faced a situation like this before," thundered Taurani.
Deepika, it may be recalled, had signed Taurani's project after an initial phase of indecisiveness. However, after the film went on floors, the actress upped and left leaving the Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Amisha Patel and Jacqueline starrer in jeopardy.
"Earlier, in October, we had to change our schedule since Deepika had date problems. This was due to her film with Ayan Mukerji to be produced by Karan Johar. At the time, I had spoken to Karan and worked out a schedule that would help Deepika manage both the projects. Now, when everything is in place, she just walks out after six days of shoot. What can I say? We are left with no choice. Our directors and the other actors are extremely annoyed with her," said the troubled producer.

Imran Khan lucky mascot

Imran Khan

After appearing in two of Imran Khan’s hit films — Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa (2008) and I Hate Luv Storys (2010) — the actor’s wife, Avantika is set for a hat trick with a scene in his upcoming Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. Ask Imran if he considers Avantika his lucky mascot and he brushes it aside,  terming it an insider's jock, adding, “For me, it is about making a scene or a film more personal.”
It was director Shakun Batra and his co-writer Ayesha Devitre’s idea to bring in not just Avantika, but four other friends including Ayesha herself. “They appear in the ‘Auntyji…’ song, playing the band. Even Delhi Belly (2011) writer Akshat Verma, will be seen in the film. We are all good friends and it brings a smile to our faces when you spot a familiar face on the screen. The audiences might not get that but these appearances are memories for us. It is a personal joke for us.”

Avantika will be seen in the song during lyrics that read, ‘Smile abhi bhi hai million dollars Auntyji… Imran adds, “Half the people who get it will recognise her and other half won’t as she plays a guest in the song. She earlier appeared in two films, which were very personal for me as the directors, Abbas Tyrewala and Punit Malhotra are my good friends.”

Arunoday Singh, Randeep Hooda in Jism 2

Actors Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh have been roped in to star opposite Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone in Jism 2, the sequel to co-producer Mahesh Bhatt’s hit 2006 film, Jism. Says Mahesh, “Yes. They both are right for the roles.”
According to Mahesh, he persuaded his producer-direcor daughter pooja to rope in randeep after watching his perfomance in the yet-to-release hashmi fillm jannat-2. he has done well in that fillm. And Arunoday has the physical attributes and sensitivity needed to deliver what we expect from this role.”
Giving a preview of the two characters, Mahesh adds, “One is dark and brooding and the other has a more flamboyant, swashbuckling personality. Sunny is the diva.”
Jism, which was directed by Amit Saxena, made headlines in 2006 regarding some scenes that the Censor Board had objected to.
