After the success of Agneepath and Kancha Cheena's moves in the Chikni Chameli item number, Sanjay Dutt seems to be the most wanted item boy in Bollywood. For his upcoming film Zilla Ghaziabad, Sanjay Dutt will be seen growing to a song composed by Bappi Lahiri's son Bappa titled Main Item No.1. South Indian actress Shreya Saran will join Sanjay in this dance number.
Mumbai Mirror has learnt that initially, there were no plans of an item song featuring Sanjay in the film. "Sanjay's character is rugged. He doesn't sing or dance. But after Agneepath, the makers decided to include an item song with Sanjay in it," revealed a source close to the film.
The song will be shot in Kamalistan studio from February 5 - 8 and will be choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, who also worked on Chikni Chameli.
Refusing to divulge details of the item number, producer Vinod Bachchan simply said, "Yes, we have decided to add an item song featuring Dutt saab. And it is going to surprise everyone.

Record opening for ‘Agneepath’, earns Rs 25 crore

The magic of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan seems to have worked once again. But the Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt-starrer remake of the 1990 film of the same name, which released Thursday, has gone beyond.Hrithik, who stepped into the shoes of megastar Amitabh Bachchan as Vijay, is excited that his hard work has paid off.“WOW!!!! THANK u THANK u THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Agneepath 1st day – 25cr!!!! My damaged bodyparts suddenly feel ALIVE, I feel like I can FLY now!!! Thank u people, I have the fuel now to make KRRISH EXPLODE!!!!” Hrithik wrote on his Twitter page.Sanjay Dutt and the film’s lead actress Priyanka Chopra, are equally delighted with the positive response, and have thanked fans for the amazing response to the film.“‘Agneepath’ has redefined the power of Indian box office for all of us. I've never been a part of any camp: Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra
Refusing to dwell on her personal equations with co-stars, Priyanka Chopra talks about the professional space and what makes her tick in Bollywood
She had been in the news for not the best reasons of late. And yet, Priyanka Chopra refuses to let the rumours affect her. At least professionally. When faced with personal questions about rumours of her special friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, the actress fidgets and declares, "I will not talk about this. I shall never talk about this." However, when it comes to her films, the actress doesn't shy away from answering.
About her upcoming Dharma Productions venture 'Agneepath', the actress gushes, "I am nervous and excited. Reports have been brilliant. They have liked Hrithik (Roshan), Sanju ( Sanjay Dutt) and my work. More than anything, they have loved the film. I'm very proud of Karan (Malhotra, the director) as this is his first film and I'm his first heroine. For me, it's not a remake. I hadn't even seen the original 'Agneepath' till I signed this film. Also my role has been written fresh."
And this film strengthens her bond with Karan Johar and Dharma. She had earlier worked with the production house in 'Dostana'. Though she is not doing 'Dostana 2', "My love story ended in the first part when I walked away with Bobby Deol" being the actress' reason for the same, her relationship with the production house has remained.
"Miami to Mandva. It was lovely working with Dharma again. As an actor, you don't involve yourself with the production much. You're closer to the director," says the actress.
Despite her proximity to Dharma, her relationship with Yash Raj Films is reportedly not as strong. Rumour has it that Yash Raj did not keep its promise of offering her a big film after she agreed to do a small project 'Pyaar Impossible'. However, the actress maintains that it wasn't YRF she was working for but Uday Chopra Productions.
Good with a section of the industry and not too close to the rest, this is Priyanka's career graph in a nutshell. However, with single minded determination and what trade analyst Amod Mehra calls 'luck' the actress despite being shunned some, has managed to maintain her position in Bollywood.

Politics is totally over for me: Sanjay Dutt

The actor still regrets joining politics and the Samajwadi party, but considers the experience a real eye-opener
He may have resigned from Samajwadi party in 2010, but Sanjay Dutt is still sore about the experience.
In fact, as he juggles multiple roles of new father, husband, reel-life super villain, and now an entrepreneur - he just launched a sporting league with Raj Kundra- politics seems to be the last thing on his mind.
In a candid chat with Mumbai Mirror, the actor confessed, "Politics is totally over for me. I have realised that politics meri jagah nahi hai. I cannot lecture or spin lies."
Branding his flirtation with Samajwadi party as an error, Dutt, who is preparing to move away from the family home soon, expressed his regret for not having stayed loyal to the party of his father's choice.
"My entire family has been with the Congress right from the time of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Congress is in our blood and as a loyalist, I am always there for Congress. Samajwadi was a mistake and I regret it," he says emphatically.
But, Dutt is also quick to add that his decision to join Samajwadi party was not influenced by Amar Singh. "In fact, he discouraged me. You see, he is not just a politician, but also a brother. But then things happened and those three months in politics were a big lesson for me."
Striking a more philosophical note Dutt said, "I think the best thing about my short-lived political career was that I saw the interiors of Bihar and UP. That is the real India and being an Indian, it was really sad to see our own people living in such dismal conditions. It was a real eye-opener."
But politics is not the only thing Dutt has quit in recent years. At the time of the interview, he claimed he had been off alcohol for more than 15 days. New Year resolution? Dutt laughs and says, there are other things that keep him happily occupied- fatherhood, his kickboxing league with Shilpa Shetty's husband, his friends and his newly-formed production house.

Ready for the Super Fight League

sanjay dutt

Sanjay Dutt and Raj Kundra have come together to launch the country's first professionally organised Mixed Martial Arts fighting league
Entrepreneur Raj Kundra and actor Sanjay Dutt have come together to launch the country's first professionally organised Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting league. It's called the Super Fight League (SFL).

Mixed Martial Arts, a full contact, intensive combat sport, is not only the fastest growing sport in the world but is also a multi-billion dollar industry in the West. Kundra and Dutt promise to offer "sportainment" at its best with a huge line-up of performers, DJs and a fight night to remember!

Says Kundra, founder chairman, SFL, "I am a huge MMA fan. Knowing that it's the fastest growing sport in the world, I hate to see India get left behind. The beauty about MMA is it's not staged." Adds Dutt, co-founder chairman and partner, "I am very passionate about this sport and will make sure we churn out some real world-class fighters from here. SFL events will be a great fusion of sports and entertainment." Matches are lined up in Mumbai, Delhi and Chandigarh and will leave audiences asking for more.

Munnabhai Chale Amrika

Munnabhai
Munnabhai
Director Rajkumar Hirani was keen to send Munnabhai and Circuit on a trip to America, but it looks like the rising air fares even got to him!
On a more serious note, due to the lack of a good script to take the Munnabhai franchise forward, Munnabhai Chale Amrika wasn't made. However, we hear that Rajkumar Hirani has approved of another script, the setting of which is away from the original idea of
Munnabhai Chale Amrika.
If sources are to be believed, Munnabhai 3 will be titled Munnabhai Ki Aatmakatha and the film, we hear, will go on floors only in mid-2012 and hit the screens in 2013.
Earlier there were rumours that Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi were to be the new Munnabhai-Circuit jodi. Raju squashed the false news almost immediately and with this new announcement, Munnabhai fans can breathe easy and be rest assured that it's Sanju baba andArshad Warsi who'll be retaining their original spots for some laugh out loud moments.

Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn get along well

Ajay Devgn
You have repeatedly said that Rascals will remind us of Govinda-David Dhawan combination of the 90's. What change do you notice between then and now in handling the genre of comedy?
Earlier, in the 90's when I made comedies with Govinda, it was a rare genre. Audience was more into emotional dramas and film makers were not very confident about making comedies. They were scared. But today the scenario is different. Comedies are not necessarily small budget films. Audience is also lapping it up, there are many film makers taking that genre seriously and so are the actors. These days many A-grade stars are doing comedies. And if we bring in emotion along with comedy it works wonders.
I have directed Sanjay in many films. And then, Sanjay and Ajay get along very well, they are very good friends off-screen. I think it is the best combination. As a pair they are super. When doing a comedy, it is very important that two people are good friends, it becomes easier for a director while shooting. And one very special thing about them is that both of them are very secure actors. Otherwise actors feel very insecure and worried about what clothes the other has got, whether they have got a better line, dialogues, etc. Sanjay and Ajay are my obedient students. They would never worry about these little things.

Sanjay Dutt to Remake Dhee

Sanjay Dutt

This is becoming so very silly that when one trend goes hit everybody else follows the line. There was a time when most of the Bollywood movies were entirely inspired or to be very blunt copied from Hollywood movies. Now, what our directors and producers are doing is they are trying to copy the similar South Indian movies. After the release and the terrific response of Wanted everybody is making remakes and there are more and more actors now trying to make their mark as directors or producers, may be they are just a little paranoid that they don’t have enough acting skills.

Sanjay Dutt, the very own Munnabhai has now decided that he will be producing his next movie which will be a remake of Telugu hit movie called Dhee. In the Telugu version it was starred by Vishnu Vardhan Babu and Genelia Dsouza, but so far no actors have been selected for the remake version. Sanjay Dutt did revealed that since he is producing the movie it will be him in the lead role along with various other actors. Sanjay Dutt’s home production Rascals is still about to release but the actor feels that Rascals will be a hit considering that is directed by David Dhawan.
The remake movie is being produced by Vinay Choksey and he confirmed that the news is correct. He said that they have bought the rights of the South Indian film Dhee and Indra Kumar will direct the movie. He also confirmed that the movie will have Sanjay Dutt in the lead role but so far they have not finalize the cast for the movie. He also said that the movie will be a romantic comedy and will begin shooting for it in the first few months of next year.

Sanjay Dutt to visit Amar Singh?

Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt was expected to visit Amar Singhon Monday.

A source said, "After meeting Amar Singh at AIIMS, Sanjay will probably stay at his house in Delhi, and then leave for Mumbai the next day." On Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan had visited Singh at AIIMS, with daughter Shweta Nanda in tow, and spent over two hours with him. The political world is now abuzz with speculations about reconciliation between the two estranged friends.
