Life is unpredictable for you don't know what might happen tomorrow. It shocks you with its twists; sometimes pleasant, sometimes heartbreaking, catches you unprepared and watches you grow, emerge stronger. 
Alexander Payne tells one such story of redemption, regret, hope and survival through his protagonist Matt King (George Clooney) in 'The Descendants'. 
Life revolves around his law firm for Matt until his wife meets with a fatal boat accident, leaving her in coma. The otherwise back-up parent thus finds himself in the centre of all crisis overnight - dealing with his young daughters, selling off his ancestral property, regretting his disturbed marriage, mending ties with his scattered huge family.

George Clooney mocks injured Brad Pitt at Golden Globes

George Clooney poked fun at an injured Brad Pitt, who is also a fellow Golden Globe Awards nominee.

Before presenting a clip of Brad's movieMoneyball, the actor hobbled on stage with a walking stick, and was met with raucous laughter from the audience, the Daily Mail reported.

He had been mimicking his pal Brad, 48, who has had to walk with the aid of a cane since acquiring a knee injury.

"I have to give it back to him," Clooney joked while using the black cane in jest.

"He can't make it to the bar otherwise," he said.

Both actors are up for honors in the best actor in a drama category.
